Are you tired of "reacting" instead of "responding" in relationship to self and other then feeling bad about yourself? Is your past controlling you in the present in ways that aren't serving you? When we are "hijacked" by our past experiences we lose the ability to see our options. This affects how we feel physically and emotionally; which can make us feel depressed, anxious, and shameful. It doesn't have to be that way. I see therapy as a collaborative process that supports wellbeing on mental, physical and spiritual levels. Deep change evolves with time, commitment and hard work.
My approach blends several somatic and talk based psychotherapies: EMDR, The Trauma Resiliency Model, Internal Family Systems, Gestalt Psychotherapy, and, mindfulness based awareness techniques. I'm passionate about social justice, and a staunch ally of the LGBTQI+ community.
My therapeutic work with individuals and groups is to process the unpleasant, deepen awareness of strengths and build resiliency in support of personal transformation. I am currently licensed to practice as an MFT in California, New Mexico and New York.
