I specialize in working with veterans and military-connected personnel at Paws and Stripes. Experiences connected to military life and service can affect how you relate to yourself, others, and the world around you. Maybe you know what brings you to therapy, maybe you feel stuck, or maybe something feels off and you want space to make sense of what you’re carrying. Either way, therapy is not one size fits all. I enjoy creating an affirming, collaborative space that honors your pace and lived experience. My expertise includes working with trauma, substance use, identity/life transitions, grief, anxiety, moral injury, and depression.
I integrate motivational interviewing, mindfulness, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and concepts from Internal Family Systems and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. My role as a dance/movement therapist allows for the use of movement to support body awareness and the interconnection of mind, body, and spirit when helpful.
Reaching out for support takes courage. Service to self is service to others, and work done in therapy can positively impact those around you. Paws and Stripes offers free individual counseling for military-connected personnel (veterans, family members, active duty, Guard, Reserve) and group counseling for veterans. Call or email our case manager to enroll!
