You might feel caught between worlds. Tired of explaining yourself, of fragmenting who you are to make others comfortable. I work with young adults, children of immigrants, and people navigating queer/religious identity. My clients often feel the weight of being a "model minority", and the loneliness of living between cultures in a place that often erases and devalues BIPOC identity. They might deal with anxiety, depression, PTSD, or relationship/familial/community challenges rooted in these complex intersections. I offer my clients a space built on shared understanding, where no part of your identity feels like a contradiction.
I provide therapy through an intersectional feminist lens, first building a trusting relationship with clients to create a solid foundation for the deeper work. At times I use art as a jumping-off point for conversation. I was raised in Arab Muslim community, and use this experience to create space where context is understood without exhausting explanations.
It takes a lot of courage to seek a witness to your story. I believe healing happens in relationship, and you already hold the answers you need. If you're looking for a therapist who honors all parts of your identity while helping you slow down and reconnect with your inner wisdom, I would love to work with you.

I work with clients who may be struggling with depression, anxiety, or trauma related to their identity. During our initial sessions, we will focus on building trust and some grounding/regulation skills that many find helpful immediately. Once we have established a solid foundation we can delve deeply into the issues at hand, and collaborate on a plan to help you find more ease and purpose.

Therapy works best when the relationship feels safe, genuine & collaborative, so that's always the foundation. I use somatic work, guided imagery, and creative approaches because they let your body and unconscious express things that don't always come through in words. As clarity emerges, we explore what is and isn't supporting you, and make intentional choices about how you want to move forward.
