I am a fellowship trained sex therapist, studying under Dr. Eli Coleman, the nation's first endowed Chair in Sexual Health. One of the most important factors I have learned is that sexual health is very complex. However, it is important to understand that sexual concerns are best viewed within a couples framework. Addressing sexual concerns from this perspective helps to alleviate feelings of guilt & blame. This is done by working with individuals to help create an intimate team approach to therapy. My clinical interests are in male and female sexual dysfunction, compulsive sexual behavior/sex addiction, and relationship therapy.

Dr. Abbassi is an expert in couple's communication and sexual issues. He is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist(LMFT), Certified Sex Therapist by American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and approved Supervisor of LPC and LMFT. He works with individual (children and Adults) in the area of depression, anxiety and general life difficulties. Dr. Abbassi has been in private practice for over 26 years. As a full Professor at local Institute of Higher Education, Dr. Abbassi teaches and provides supervision to Counseling Interns for both LPC & LMFT boards.
