Richard has over eight years of experience working with a wide range of adults and families in the mental health field settings at the Outpatient, Intensive Outpatient, Residential, Intensive In-Community Settings. Family therapy for conflict, estrangement, suicidal or self injurious behaviors, blended families/parenting using Structural Family Therapy.

In the 15 years prior to becoming a therapist, I served as an EMT and Paramedic. Before that, I served in the US Army where I deployed to Iraq two separate times. I believe that my experiences as a Veteran and a First Responder places me in the position to understand and relate to the unique challenges that these populations face. At this time, I work primarily with adolescents and adults with a special interest in Veterans and First Responders. In my experience over the past two decades, I’ve noticed that both Veterans and First Responders continue to be underserved and someone needs to “help the helpers.”
