Malaika Clelland, MSW, LCSW, RPT-S, Clinical Social Work/Therapist in Mission Viejo
Pregnancy and Postpartum support, Play Therapy and Domestic/International Adoption are the specialty areas I offer in my practice. My desire is to come alongside you and offer Hope in a supportive and safe environment. I believe it is important to find the right therapist that you feel comfortable with. As a Registered Play Therapist, I work with parents, toddlers, children and teens experiencing anxiety, depression, grief and loss, behavior challenges and attachment issues. International Adoption is also a major focus of my practice and I am certified in Trust Based Relational Intervention Therapy (TBRI).
If you are feeling concerned for your child or frustrated as a parent, therapy is often helpful to gain support and tools to help yourself, your child and your family. I offer individual therapy for children, teens and mom's, play therapy, parent-child counseling, parenting support, and family therapy.
When women are adjusting to pregnancy and postpartum changes they often experience a variety of feelings including excitement, fear, high expectations, and sometimes anxiety and depression. If you feel overwhelmed with this adjustment it is helpful to have professional support during this very special but often challenging transition in life.
