As a child and family therapist who is neurodivergent and transgender myself, I have a passion for working with youth with ASD/ADHD, as well as youth who identify as trans and LGBT. I also work well with children and families with trauma backgrounds, and have experience in treating mood, anxiety, and behavioral disorders. It is crucial to support these young people with developing a healthy sense of self and belongingness, and to be able to develop a positive sense of identity in the world.
Using Narrative Therapy, I conceptualize change through changing an individual's personal "narrative". To this end, I incorporate techniques including play therapy, ACT and CBT, and I use Collaborative Problem Solving and ARC Frameworks when working with families. All my work is done from a trauma-informed lens.
Human connection is vital to all of us; through this connection we find support, solace, and strength. It is my honor to provide that in a therapeutic context. I aim to provide children and teens with a safe environment to support development of their sense of identity and capability, as well as equipping their environment to continue to foster this growth.
