Instead of conceptualizing clients as functioning solely in isolation, Marriage, Couple, and Family Therapists (MFTs) work from a relational and systemic lens to gain a holistic understanding of their clients to explore how sociocultural dynamics shape their overall well-being. (For the purpose of clarity: MFTs regularly work with individuals.)
