Throughout our lives we experience struggles along the way. Over time, we can unknowingly, avoid issues and/or past trauma experiences. When these issues emerge to the surface, it can be extremely overwhelming and negatively impact our relationships and daily functioning. Just like we need teachers for learning how to read & write, we also need a teacher to show us how to process, cope, and engage in healthy relationships. I am here to come alongside you during this learning process. Getting to know one's self is a great step toward continued growth.

I have been in the healing profession for 30+ years. Through my work as an energy psychotherapist over the past decade, I have witnessed dramatic changes in my clients lives. I use a variety of healing modalities, coupled with a traditional therapeutic approach. In my experience, energy work alone will often relieve or eliminate emotional or physical symptoms. Combining this with therapy provides us with an understanding of why we act in destructive ways, the opportunity to re-evaluate those decisions and provide tools necessary to break free from old, limiting beliefs. The desired outcome is to create positive lasting change.

I believe the foundation of therapy is a strong counselor-client relationship where one feels safe, seen, heard, and accepted. As a queer, transgender, and neurodivergent counselor I know that this can be hard to find in relationships and want you to feel the comfort of these qualities throughout our work. Together we will explore the things that have shaped your ways of being, and identify, challenge and shift the beliefs and behaviors that no longer serve you. I welcome feedback and pledge diligence, and accountability in our work together. I look forward to supporting you as you change, heal, and move forward authentically.

Most people who visit a therapist know that there is something they want to change, but they may not know how. Sometimes feelings of anxiety or depression, problems with relationships, challenges at work, or other social difficulties are difficult to understand and resolve without help. In therapy, my goal is to help you foster greater self-understanding and develop strategies to live a more fulfilling life.

Often the hardships we meet in our external worlds move us to explore our internal selves: how we think, what our feelings mean to us, how we relate to others, and why we make the choices we do. I provide a deeply compassionate, non-judgmental space for clients to explore their relationships with important people in their lives, with the world around them, and with themselves. With you, the client, as the expert of your own experience and with the therapist as a skillful and caring helper, profound self-discovery and healing are possible.

I am excited at the potential opportunity to work with yourself, or a loved one. Durning therapy I gain an understanding of an individuals perspective in which they see themselves, others, and life’s conditions. I work with the individual to identifying specific problems or issues in your daily life, become aware of unproductive thought patterns and how they can impact your life. I work to identify negative thinking and reshape it in a way that changes how you feel, as well as learn new behaviors and put them into practice. Please note, recently I have had a few daytime openings, unfortunately I do not have any openings past 1pm.

I believe therapy is the process of making one's life more satisfying... whether that's by making minor "tweaks," or major overhauls- the intention is to help you find your unique strengths and gifts, decide what it is you believe needs to change, and empower you to take those steps forward! I believe that the job of a therapist is to support, and encourage, to listen and acknowledge, and to challenge our clients to see themselves in new ways. I approach therapy using a variety of techniques all intended to help clients develop insight into their own feelings and motivations, and to take the hard steps to achieve new growth!

Everyone is subject to facing challenges in life, some more difficult than others. It's common to need extra support during these times, it can often bring us comfort, reassurance and clarity. Remembering that we are strong, resilient and that we hold our own solutions can be empowering and provide confidence. When faced with mental health related symptoms, addictions issues or family addiction issues, it's easy to become overwhelmed and forget what we need to do to take care of ourselves. Seeking therapy is a brave and decisive way to provide self care. We are often more kind to others than we are to ourselves, prioritize you.

Over the years, I’ve worked with people in many different contexts—clinical practice, leadership roles, and teaching. One thing I’ve seen time and again is that even small shifts in perspective and behavior can make a real difference. Learning how the brain responds to stress, applying mindfulness in a practical way, or stepping back from unhelpful thought patterns are all strategies that can help navigate challenges with more clarity and flexibility.
