Maggie Seymour is a Resident in Counseling with a compassionate, client-centered approach to healing. She works with individuals navigating overwhelming experiences, major life changes, or patterns of behavior that no longer serve them. Drawing on evidence-based approaches—including CBT, CPT, EMDR, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and mindfulness—she tailors her approach to each client’s unique needs. Her goal is to create a safe and non-judgmental space where clients can explore complex emotions, find relief, and foster meaningful growth.
Her philosophy as a therapist is rooted in the belief that each client holds the capacity for healing and growth within themselves. She follows the client’s lead—listening deeply, honoring their pace, and respecting the wisdom of their lived experience. She sees herself as a resource, guide, and facilitator.
Maggie served nearly two decades in the national security field as a prior active-duty Marine and a U.S. diplomat. She also served with AmeriCorps in Charleston, SC, focusing on literacy development, and later joined the U.S. State Department as a Foreign Service Officer in 2020.
