I have over 8 years experience working with children and adolescents who feel overwhelmed by anxiety or who struggle to manage the everyday demands of school and home life — trouble starting homework, staying organized, managing big emotions, or getting stuck in worry. Many of them are bright, capable kids whose executive functioning hasn't caught up to what's being asked of them, which can look like defiance or laziness. I offer psychoeducational evaluations as well as goal-focused therapies to address a variety of challenges faced by children and adolescents.
I work directly with kids and teens using evidence-based approaches, translated into skills that make sense for a developing brain — not just talk therapy, but concrete tools for managing anxious thoughts, building executive functioning skills, and creating routines that actually work for that specific child.
If you're watching your child struggle and feeling unsure of how to help, or just tired of guessing, you're not alone, and you don't have to figure this out by yourself. I'd love to talk with you about what your family is going through and whether my services might be a good fit.
