Hi there, I'm Magdalene! I was inspired to pursue mental health work by my aunt, who was the first in my family to earn a master’s degree and become a Clinical Social Worker. Her journey showed me the power of therapy and the impact compassionate care can have on individuals and families. I work with women and men who are tired of feeling stuck. If you've been in therapy before and felt like you were going in circles, or if this is your first time and you want someone who will be straight with you about what needs to change, we might be a good fit.
My approach is collaborative but direct. I'm not going to let you stay comfortable in patterns that aren't serving you, and I'm not interested in keeping you in therapy forever. My goal is to help you develop the skills and resilience to handle life's challenges independently.
I work best with clients who: Want honest feedback, even when it's challenging; Are ready to do the work between sessions, not just show up once a week; Prefer structure and clear goals over open-ended exploration; Appreciate directness over excessive gentleness.
