Hi there, I'm Magdalene! I am a queer Afro-Latinx (Dominican-American) mom, spiritual activist, and former pre-school teacher with experience working with children, adolescents, young adults, and families. I am bilingual in Spanish and English. My approach is holistic and radical. I love blending my understanding of Eastern and Western psychology and healing practices. Most importantly, the relationship we co-create is the center of the healing. I love supporting children, teens, young adults, and parents of all ages to deepen their relationship to self as a spiritual practice.
I am here to listen deeply, explore their inner world, and hopefully cultivate a corrective experience. Together, we will explore their spiritual self and create meaning in their life. I love to talk, listen, color, walk, sing, dance, pray, meditate, and play. I offer virtual sessions to all of California and in-person sessions in Oakland, California.
I draw on transpersonal (meditation, visualizing, reflection) psychology, play therapy, yoga, mindfulness, attachment, strength-based, somatics, and TF-CBT. I am excited to support BIPOC, LGBTQAI+, children, and youth healing from dissociation, feeling disconnected, and recovering from childhood and recent traumas.
