I specialize in working with pre-teens, adolescents and adults in treating trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety, and grief and loss. I also work with individuals experiencing difficult life transitions, LGBTQ+ concerns, and self esteem issues. To provide a sense of calm and clarity, I incorporate mindfulness, somatic awareness and guided meditation in session when desired. I appreciate the interdependence of human nature and our need for connection to heal, grow and flourish. My hope is to support clients in deepening their connection with self, others, nature and the world.
I use a variety of techniques in practice; including, client-centered play therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I value collaborating and bonding with clients and together we develop treatment goals. My approach to therapy is relationship-centered, strengths-based, trauma-informed, and LGBTQIA+ affirmative.
My intention is to help clients feel empowered at both the individual and community level. I aspire to create a nurturing environment filled with curiosity, compassion and respect.
