Searching for a therapist can be a lot. It takes strength to begin exploring therapy options and make the choice to improve your wellbeing. In sessions, I strive for a warm, genuine, and comfortable atmosphere (also sprinkling in humor when appropriate) to create a positive and empowering experience. My past work includes helping people of various ages and identities as they navigate a wide range of challenges: Trauma, loss/grief, anxiety, depression, chronic pain, life transitions, relationship conflict, PTSD, neurodivergence, phobias, and substance use. Please reach out with any questions you have or to get to know me better!
I enjoy doing trauma work with my clients as many mental health challenges stem from trauma; it's amazing to see how much relief people can feel. Regardless of diagnoses, each person is unique. I draw from different therapies to meet each person where they are. I tend to use DBT/CBT (for coping skills); mindfulness-based techniques, and emotion-focused work.
EMDR therapy is used to help people process through trauma and work through loss, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and phobias. I also like to implement parts work or IFS therapy into EMDR therapy to help people explore and resolve conflicts between different parts of themselves and understand themselves better. Please reach out with any questions!
