About
We live in a complex world, and the journey to finding oneself while experiencing adversity can be very difficult. Many people come to therapy with the hope that they will find a way to learn how to navigate these challenges. As a clinician, I believe that humans all possess an inherent resilience that can guide us through adverse experiences. I specialize in trauma-informed practice, and I utilize an evidence-based, person-centered, and socially conscious approach to psychotherapy that helps my clients learn ways to activate this existing resiliency.
My work places a keen focus on the connection between our emotional wellness and our response to stress tolerance. I apply critical race and intersectional theory lenses to my practice. I incorporate various modalities into my trauma-informed practice to best meet the individual needs of all of my clients.
I aim to foster a therapeutic space that is safe enough to discuss all facets of how our identity is shaped, inclusive of race, ethnicity, sexuality, gender, and the expression of oppression and privilege. I will respect and incorporate your value systems and what is important to your sense of overall wellness into our work together.
