Hi there, I'm Madeline! As well as being an LCPC, I am also an RN. That combination has been an asset for me. I’m pretty eclectic and also use CBT, depending on a client’s needs. I provide a judgment-free space for clients to express whatever is on their minds. My most common approach is CBT. I will work with a client to see in what areas they feel stuck and try to resolve those issues.
I hope it feels warm and welcoming for clients. I am informal and hope that this approach makes it easier for clients to be themselves and get the guidance they want. Goals are set between the client and myself. It is their journey. I may suggest some goals for those people who need or want help developing their goals.
During the first session, I need to learn about you and your past. We will talk about issues, like suicidal ideation, for example, that may need to be communicated to your safe person. Anything that has to be disclosed will be done so with your knowledge. I will not betray your trust in the process.
