My clients are often perceptive, self-aware, and driven. Yet, they struggle with self-compassion and fulfillment. Many experience a daily a stream of negative thoughts and self-criticisms. Many have developed self-defeating patterns to cope with intense emotion. In our work together, I help people come back to their truest, best selves- to find steady ground and reconnect to what is most vital and alive in them. I specialize in treating trauma, especially childhood trauma, including- abuse, neglect, chronic invalidation, adoption issues, family substance misuse, bullying, and sexual trauma.
My work with all clients- individuals, couples, and families- is depth-oriented and relational, meaning I help people create lasting change in their lives. Depth therapy draws upon clinically effective, evidence-based modalities to address root causes of suffering. I help people partner productively with their emotions rather than fight them.
