Talk therapy is a vital tool to help us build the lives we want and the world we desire. It’s my pleasure to work with adults and teens seeking meaning, freedom, and joy in daily life, and those looking for a sense of intimacy and trust to anchor their explorations. With patience and warm interest, I invite you to get curious about whatever lives inside you: anxiety, loneliness, envy, anger, grief, and other inconvenient feelings. When we unearth the parts of ourselves we’ve kept hidden, we can reckon with their powerful undertow and harness their energy to transform our lives for the better.
I’m interested in helping you dig deep. I’m also ready to join you in exploring how you belong to the world at large, and adjusting the ties that bind you to others so that you feel connected and supported, not constrained. My interests include ADHD, motivation, and focus as well as sexual and racial identity, parenting, friendship, and spirituality.
My work as a psychotherapist is informed by my background as a teacher, historian, and political organizer. I'm interested in exploring how our past shapes our present, and how history binds us to each other along lines of race, religion, sex, money, and love. These bonds are for us to remake so that they can help us flourish, individually and collectively.
