I support children, t(w)eens, and young adults in developing healthier relationships with themselves and others, and in healing painful wounds from the past. I am eclectic and creative, and incorporate elements of art, drama, and play therapy into sessions. My approach is attachment and relationship-based, and I combine over a decade of experience working with youth who are learning to bond with caretakers and peers, navigate school, and find the joys of childhood. I specialize in supporting adoptees and in working with clients who have experienced interpersonal trauma such as sexual assault/abuse and neglect.
I believe that each person carries an innate ability to heal and grow, and so I take a holistic, ‘whole-person’ approach. In sessions, I actively engage with clients to create experiences of emotional and somatic healing which deepen their connection to their body and intuition. This approach can significantly reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression.
My work is guided by a commitment to social justice and supported by attachment-based and trauma-informed perspectives. I also incorporate elements of inner-child work (IFS) and emotion-focused healing. It would be my honor to work with you and/or your child!
