Hi, I’m Mackinze. I’m deeply passionate about walking alongside individuals on their journey toward healing, growth, and self-discovery. I believe meaningful connection and a safe, non-judgmental space are essential to doing this work well. My goal is to meet you exactly where you are—whether you are navigating trauma, major life changes, emotional struggles, or simply seeking greater self-understanding. I currently practice at the Integrated Wellness Counseling Center in Coralville, IA.I can take client in Iowa and Illinois. I work with children (ages 10+), teens, and adults.
My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and individualized. I draw from evidence-based and integrative modalities, including CBT, DBT, EMDR, IFS, Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy, while also incorporating mindfulness and strengths-based work. I focus on helping clients build insight, resilience, emotional balance, and meaningful change.
I bring a diverse professional background in the criminal justice system, social work, community mental health, and nursing. This allows me to approach therapy with a deeper understanding of how trauma, medical concerns, systemic barriers, and life stressors impact mental health.
