Counseling can be a scary process. And sometimes the process of change is so uncomfortable, it's easier to ignore it or avoid it. That just makes you human! Whether you have been experiencing unwanted thoughts, mood swings, major changes, or maybe you aren't finding the same joy in things that you typically love- therapy provides a time for you to set goals for your future or maybe provide meaning and offer peace about the past. I have a passion for working with adolescents, young adults, and adults as you navigate the challenges in developing your identity, nourishing relationships, and adjusting to life transitions.
Counseling is most exciting when clients are working hard and taking the necessary steps to reach their own individual goals. With that said, each client is unique the way they respond to counseling. I like to do what works for each client- but particularly use CBT, DBT, EMDR, and mindfulness-based strategies in coming alongside clients during this process.
If you are looking for support in whatever struggle you might be facing, please give me a call or email me. I look forward to working with you as you begin to overcome! Now licensed in South Carolina and accepting clients in the SC area virtually!
