My name is Mackenzie McFarland and I am a LMFT located in San Luis Obispo, California. I am owner and clinical supervisor at Coastal Counseling Collective therapy practice. I attended Cal Poly SLO for my BA in Psychology and MS in Clinical Psychology. I have years experience working with those struggling with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, change of life phases, trauma (current/recent/childhood), substance use / recovery, and mood disorders (Bipolar). I have worked extensively with those in college, peri/post natal mental health, complex trauma, and those unhappy with relationships in their life

Within my practice, I will collaboratively work with you to finding a deeper understanding of yourself and the world around you with evidenced-based approaches. Through this deeper understanding you can begin to notice an increase in self-awareness, better self-esteem, more enriching relationships with others, and lessening of problematic feelings/behaviors

We as humans are complex & I believe the intricacies of who we are and why we are the way we are deserves a dedicated time and space. In sessions we will take our time to authentically understand you as a whole. Through this approach we find deeper emotional insights, lasting alleviation of symptoms, stronger sense of self, and greater fulfillment in life.
