I believe trauma healing must engage both the mind and the body. Trauma can leave you feeling disconnected, stuck in a cycle of anxiety, or overwhelmed by memories that feel ever-present. You don't have to live this way.
My approach is to first ensure you have a strong base of coping skills to feel safe and grounded. Then, we gently work together using somatic techniques to help your nervous system release the trauma it's been holding onto, allowing for deep and lasting healing.
I have special training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy. The combination of these modalities has taught me to look at the whole person, both body and mind, for healing.
I view therapy as a safe space for clients to release the trauma they hold in their body, their thoughts and their emotions. I strive to create a non-judgemental, creative and curious space for my clients and I to work towards their therapy goals.
