You don’t have to suffer, and you certainly don’t have to suffer alone. Welcome! My name is Macala ("muh-kae-luh"; pronouns: she/they) and I strive to make therapy accessible and relevant for underrepresented communities. As an EMDR trained yoga psychotherapist, I integrate mindful awareness and cutting edge science to support your mental health. My practice is rooted in considering you as whole person in mind, body, spirit, culture, and relationship to the community. Together we will collaborate on a goal, learn practical techniques to improve your wellbeing, and progress at your pace towards growth.
I specialize in working with individuals, couples, and families with marginalized identities. I am passionate about serving at the intersections found within Black and people of color, the LGBTQ+ spectrum, women and gender nonconforming communities.
If you are processing a life transition, your self-esteem, identity, depression, anxiety, trauma, anger, or have felt therapy is not meant for you, I welcome exploring this together.
