Female Therapists in Waltham, MA
I bring decades of professional and lived experience to my practice. It makes a difference in a therapist's work. I listen compassionately with warmth. You CAN be less sad or anxious. You CAN look forward to getting out of bed in the morning. Loving and caring for someone with mental illness or dementia takes a large toll on the entire family system. Is this or other challenges making life difficult? Are your relationships upsetting you? Aging and retirement? Do you have family conflict? Self-doubt or indecisiveness? I can provide therapy, short term consultation, resources and/or on going support to these families.

I work with the “silent suffering”, those whose lives look fine on paper, but something is off. My clients have jobs, relationships, run a household, etc., but they are lonely and/or do not feel fulfillment. Some clients were the good kids in the family, the ones who never spoke up and have a lifetime pattern of holding feelings in. Some put the needs of others before their own. Others are self-medicating (overeating, overdrinking) underlying conditions such as anxiety, depression, ADD or OCD. Some have unresolved trauma that creates self-doubt and over-owning mistakes. These clients often stay too long in bad relationships.

I enjoy working with people who are experiencing life transitions, changing careers, going through grief or loss, experiencing anxiety, looking for support with trauma, developing coping skills, or just seeking support with the messiness of life. I want to work with clients who are motivated to engage in self-reflection and make a commitment to creating space for themselves to work through their current patterns that are no longer serving them. I meet the person where they are at and understand what ways they would like to make changes in their life.
