Problem areas I often address are anxiety, depression , parenting difficulties, life change, or behavioral problems.
What we endure in our lives can make the future cloudy and seeking help difficult. Acknowledging that you desire change is often the first step towards clarity. Many then find that they need further guidance, which is what has likely brought you here. I believe it is important for my clients to recognize and then use their strengths, past successes, supportive relationships (including the therapeutic one), and own hopes to obtain whatever goal they set forth. Moving forward I hope to build a strong, supportive, open therapeutic relationship which we can use toward a self-fulfilling and clear future.

Through the course of a day, we all play multiple roles. Sometimes those roles can become restrictive and rigid, even inauthentic, as anxiety, depression , or shame cause us to feel less and less able to share ourselves honestly with those around us. For some, the trusting relationship created in therapy offers one of the few places where hiding is no longer necessary and one's whole self can be acknowledged without judgment, without shame. Together, we will create an environment conducive to the exploration of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that lends to greater self-understanding, new perspectives, and lasting change.

Accepting new clients! We all go through phases in life. Some days are sunny and some others with a lot of rain and storm. Anxiety, depression ,life transitions,pre-postpartum anxiety& depression , difficulty focusing, and relationship problems with loved ones and/or in a professional setting are only a few of the problems every person deals in their life at some point. Even though they are part of our nature, these symptoms could be very overwhelming.

My ideal client is someone open to the process of therapy. Someone who is willing to show up for themselves, and “put in the work”. My client may be someone dealing with anxiety, depression , or challenges of ADHD, such as Rejection Sensitivity Dysphoria. My client may be feeling in a rut or “stuck” in personal aspects of their life. My client may be challenged by different phases and stages of life, by not feeling capable or feeling easily overwhelmed. They want to engage in therapy and work on achieving their personal goals in a space where they are seen, heard, validated and encouraged.

Depression Therapists
Depressive disorders are characterized by persistent feelings of sadness and worthlessness and a lack of desire to engage in formerly pleasurable activities. Depression is not a passing blue mood, which almost everyone experiences from time to time, but a complex mind/body illness that interferes with everyday functioning. It not only darkens one's outlook, it is commonly marked by sleep problems and changes in energy levels and appetite. It alters the structure and function of nerve cells so that it disrupts the way the brain processes information and interprets experience.

Despite feelings of hopelessness and worthlessness, depression is a treatable condition. It can be treated with psychotherapy. As with many illnesses, the earlier treatment begins, the more effective it can be and the greater the likelihood that recurrence can be prevented.

Psychotherapy addresses the thinking patterns that precipitate depression, and studies show that it prevents recurrence. Drug therapy is often helpful in relieving symptoms, such as severe anxiety, so that people can engage in meaningful psychotherapy.
