My strong desire to help others came naturally, growing up with a parent who was a first responder and through exposure to people with developmental disabilities in our community. I’ve tailored my education to support my passion of helping others. In 2021, I graduated from the University of New Hampshire with my Master's in Social Work. All of my jobs have focused on people, from my first job spending summers as a camp counselor with young children to my more recent jobs of working with at-risk youth and their parents, to my current work providing therapy to children, adolescents and adults.

"Have you been experiencing feelings of sadness, or anger, or not sleeping well? Are you irritable and not liking yourself? Perhaps it is time for you to make a call to someone to help you work through your issues.
I engage actively in the therapeutic process with you, and help provide you with ways to understand and manage your problems. We will work together to identify stressors and then create some simple techniques to balance those stressors.

I am passionate about helping clients achieve their goals and lead happy and fulfilling lives! I earned my Bachelor’s degree as a student-athlete at Merrimack College playing football and studying sociology and clinical psychology. I then earned my Master’s in Social Work at Walden University. Before joining the team at Launch, I’ve enjoyed working within interdisciplinary teams such as PACT (Program for Assertive Community Treatment) and serving diverse populations of all ages who struggle with mental health and/or substance use.

Unfortunately, I am unable to accept new patients at this time. Welcome, my name is Maureen Kenny-Woodworth and I have been practicing psychotherapy for 25 years. Are you struggling with school/work, feeling anxious and/or depressed and not sure how to manage these feelings? Do you feel like you aren't measuring up to those around you? Do you constantly worry about what life will hand you next? Or feel like you can't get out of bed and be a successful member of society? Need support dealing with life's challenges or someone to help you set goals and objectives? Life can be challenging and it can be helpful to have someone alongside you instead of facing challenges alone. No two people are the same and therefore therapy should not be either. Therapy doesn’t have to feel like a chore!

Regardless of the times, the circumstance or the individual, building a relationship with trust, value and efficacy matters. We also believe that this can look different for everyone. Given that, it is important that prior to finding the right therapeutic approach that meets your specific needs, we must first develop a mutual understanding and rapport with one another that feels supportive in moving forward. Next, it will become our responsibility to listen and understand what it is you would like to address and what your goals are. Your voice, experiences, and perceptions will lead us through this process.

I enjoy a collaborative approach to the therapeutic process. By co-creating this relationship we can better understand your unique needs and strengths, and provide a space where you can discover new possibilities and new ways of being in the world. I see therapy as an opportunity to develop a deeper sense of meaning and connection to oneself and to others. I tend to work well with individuals who are looking to shift from a more "reactive" stance in life to a more "proactive", or intentional way of being.
