I am a developmental neuropsychologist specializing in conducting age-appropriate, tailored evaluations with children, adolescents, and college students. Many of my clients are seeking evaluations to determine if a learning disability is affecting them at school or in daily life. I have a warm and inviting style that puts children at ease, and I work with each family to create a clear path forward. I also emphasize prompt delivery of each report so that families can seek services immediately.

I specialize in working with adolescents (teens), and early adults in their twenties. Young people today face far too many painful and existential challenges. These difficulties and others impact life satisfaction, family, school, friendships and all spheres of life. Our working together is designed to look at the painful and broken parts of life, speak to what is truly important and to learn new ways of living in the world. We will search for the joys along with the sorrows, the laughter amid the pains.

Primary Therapist Danny Seliger studied at Rhode Island College where he graduated cum laude with a double major in psychology and chemical dependency/addiction studies. Danny is a person in long term recovery and has worked as a substance use clinician at many different levels of care including outpatient, residential, and in an acute psychiatric hospital. Danny’s experience in all these settings has given him a unique skill set in which he is able to treat a variety of substance use and co-occurring issues.

When you improve your relationship with yourself and your relationships with others, you are “on the path” to a happier, healthier life. I’d like to help you along that path. Together, we can explore a range of approaches: whatever works. But – so you know where I’m coming from – in the end, it’s always about relationships. I’d like to meet you.

My ideal client has either experienced a past trauma and/or is dealing with anxiety or depression. This client can be someone diagnosed with ASD, as I enjoy working with neurodiverse populations. This client should want guidance and support to develop emotional regulation skills, build positive relationships with others, or process their emotional experiences. I can help support those going through various life transitions, as well as help people develop self-awareness and understanding.

Life can be very challenging at times. Often, we find ourselves in places, wondering how did I get here? Or not again? We will work together to gain an understanding of: why you are where you are at this time in your life, what you would like to change, and learn the tools needed in order to effectively make the changes and establish long and short term goals.

ECS is a private group practice with 22 licensed providers. We have specialists in: Alcohol Counseling, Marriage Counseling and Christian Counseling, grief counseling and we work with children, teens, adults through all of life's transitions and difficulties. We have medication prescribers in the community that we refer to and work collaboratively with as needed.

We treat: all members of the family and can help with transitions from divorce, school difficulties and peer relationship problems. My primary approach to therapy is person-centered in which I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy in order to assist individuals to maximize their strengths, interests, and skills. I seek to create a safe and respectful therapeutic environment in order to facilitate self-reflection, personal growth, and healing.

Providing a safe space for someone to share how they feel, work on difficult emotions and experiences is my goal. I strive to create a holding environment for someone to emote and grow. Allowing for cathartic and hopeful moments to happen all through a strong rapport and relationship. Through empathy, understanding and experience I hope to provide therapeutic support and interactions to promote acceptance, change and understanding for my clients.
