Individual clients welcome. Many of the people I work with feel emotionally overwhelmed, stretched thin by work, relationships, parenting, or caregiving, and unsure why familiar patterns keep repeating. Some feel disconnected from themselves, their partners, or their sense of desire despite loving their families. I help clients slow down, understand emotional and relational patterns, and regain clarity so they can move forward with intention. Alongside clinical training, I bring lived experience: a long-term marriage (25+ years), raising 3 children, and navigating how identity, intimacy, and desire shift over time.

Filling your schedule to the brim for fear of panicked thoughts entering your mind. Any opening for idleness, even while driving or in the shower, offers space for the ‘what if’s’ and negative thoughts to swirl about endlessly. Feeling lost and out of control of your own life. You feel stuck yet untethered and free falling through life. Wanting to take back control of your thoughts and behaviors and not let anxiety have so much power over what you do or how you feel about yourself.

Accepting New Clients via Telehealth! Anxiety, depression and relationship issues are common experiences that can impact our ability to feel like ourselves and live at our best capacity. Often these issues are rooted in hard life experiences or the accumulating stressors of today's world. Working from a person-centered and solution-focused approach I support my clients by helping them find connections between their feelings, thoughts and actions. I strive to create powerful therapeutic relationships as I believe this is the foundation of a successful healing alliance.

I also work with teens and college students who are feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, academic pressure, burnout, procrastination, or questions about direction and identity.
There are moments when life stops feeling like yours. You’re functioning, showing up, doing what you’re supposed to do, but underneath, something feels tight, heavy, or quietly unraveling. That is usually where our work begins. I’m not the kind of therapist who sits back and nods while you try to “figure it all out” alone. I’m present, engaged, and paying attention not just to what you say, but to what’s underneath it, the patterns, the protective parts, the places where something got interrupted or never fully had space to exist.

I also support you through grief, and work with parents who are navigating concerns related to their children or teens.
You’re doing all the “right” things—pushing yourself in school or your career, showing up for relationships, trying to build a life you feel proud of. Internally, it can feel like a constant pressure to keep up, overthink, and not fall behind. My clients are typically high-achieving college students and adults who feel overwhelmed by the pressure to succeed and have experienced the quiet fear of not doing “enough” or being “enough.” This can be isolating and daunting to tackle alone. Together, we work to understand the patterns that keep you feeling stuck and strengthen your capacity for healing and growth.

FAQ - Teenage and Adolescent Therapists
What does therapy for teenagers look like?
When a therapist works with a teenager, the pair will talk about what the teen is struggling with and explore solutions, which may involve interpersonal skills, coping strategies, medication, or lifestyle changes related to sleep, diet, and exercise. Different therapists employ different modalities, but most involve a combination of conversation and skill building.

How long does therapy for teenagers generally take to work?
There’s variability in teenagers’ experiences and challenges; some may begin to improve from therapy within a few weeks while others may take several months or longer. Teens can discuss their progress with their therapist periodically to assess how they’re improving and any changes to the treatment plan that could potentially accelerate that progress.

How do you encourage a teenager to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love while framing therapy as an opportunity to explore a tool that could help improve their life; just like they practice baseball or dance, now they can practice their emotional skills. Give your teen control over the process where you can—maybe by weighing in on choice of therapist and signaling that therapy involves confidentiality, so a parent need not know all that is discussed in sessions.

How do you prepare teens for therapy?
You can prepare your teenager for therapy by describing what the process will look like and setting expectations for timeline, if requested. You can explain that the first session may begin with an assessment phase, that they can describe their experiences but that the therapist will ask questions too, and that it may take time to feel comfortable opening up. Ask how they’re feeling about the process and answer any questions calmly and supportively.
