I would like to to let my future clients know that for over thirty years I have offered compassionate, solution focused therapy to individuals, couples and families who are changing their lives. Many experienced trauma, a painful loss or difficulty in becoming true to themselves. For some, anxiety, depression or debilitating anger create roadblocks to happiness and connection. Others may be managing health issues, having problems with communication, intimacy, gender identification or sexual behavior concerns. It continues to be a privilege and an honor to be asked to walk with them through to happier, more fulfilled lives.

I am bilingual in Spanish and work comfortably with children, adolescents and adults, from all ethnicities, cultures and sexual identities, who struggle with depression , anxiety, relationship challenges, life transitions and parenting issues.
Compassion is the most significant and integral component of therapy. My goal is to create a warm, respectful environment in which clients feel comfortable exploring their innermost feelings. Genuine and empathic in my approach, I believe in the strength of the individual to face life's challenges and to create new patterns of behavior and communication. I also believe clients must have compassion for themselves. Such compassion will lead to greater curiosity of the self and acceptance of one's experiences. This, in turn, enables the individual to see more clearly, gain new perspectives and find new solutions.

The clients I see most often have problems with stress, anxiety, depression , and managing big transitions in life.
Are you to looking find your life purpose or figure out what step is next? Do you want to have more energy, and spend more time outdoors? Are you a creative type, perhaps, an artist, musician, poet or dancer? If you answered YES to these questions, YOU are in the right place. I prefer to use the great outdoors as my office space where I incorporate ecotherapy, ketamine-assisted therapy and other therapeutic practices to build and learn new coping skills, strengthen the inner warrior and to let go things that hold us back from our true potential. I also provide a safe and comfortable indoor space in the colder months.

Please Note: I presently have limited availability. If you are managing a recent loss, coping with anxiety, depression or physical illness, it can be helpful to talk to a therapist. I enjoy working with people from adolescent to elder, and with couples of any age. Sometimes anxiety can keep us from accomplishing what we want to in life, or insomnia makes it difficult to engage with the world as fully as we would like to. I have worked with many of these kinds of issues, as well as those experiencing life-changing health problems including diabetes, pain and cancer.

I am a trauma specialist that has found that the disturbing events and large traumas in life can create anxiety, depression , chronic pain and illness.
I believe that therapy helps people move throught the blocks in their life that keep them from meeting their full potential. The therapies I use help disolve those blocks. It could be past trauma or the smaller traumas in life that leave us with negative beliefs that prevent full access to our core. Get to your core and change your life! EMDR, Brainspotting, Gentle Reprocessing, Hypnosis, TAT, other energy therapies will facilitate the healthy change you desire.

Depression Therapists
Depressive disorders are characterized by persistent feelings of sadness and worthlessness and a lack of desire to engage in formerly pleasurable activities. Depression is not a passing blue mood, which almost everyone experiences from time to time, but a complex mind/body illness that interferes with everyday functioning. It not only darkens one's outlook, it is commonly marked by sleep problems and changes in energy levels and appetite. It alters the structure and function of nerve cells so that it disrupts the way the brain processes information and interprets experience.

Despite feelings of hopelessness and worthlessness, depression is a treatable condition. It can be treated with psychotherapy. As with many illnesses, the earlier treatment begins, the more effective it can be and the greater the likelihood that recurrence can be prevented.

Psychotherapy addresses the thinking patterns that precipitate depression, and studies show that it prevents recurrence. Drug therapy is often helpful in relieving symptoms, such as severe anxiety, so that people can engage in meaningful psychotherapy.
