As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, a Thanatologist, and a musician my unique practice blends two life passions, built on privacy, respect and trust, but most importantly, focusing on hope. I serve people struggling with the fears of life threatening illnesses and life altering transitions. With extended experience I help people cope with past traumas, including stress, anxiety, and depression caused by these fears and losses. Losses may include job, financial security, health, or relationships. Losses alter our lives, causing us to question the meaning of life, and re-prioritize what is important.

Creating a strong therapeutic relationship with each other will serve as the foundation for everything else we'll do. I am a licensed psychologist with over three decades of experience. Presently, I am in private practice seeing adolescents and adults for a wide variety of psychological concerns, couples struggles and addiction. Additionally, over the past 5 years I have been a consultant for Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital inside multiple primary care sites, treating patients in a primary care setting. Previously, I was a Senior Supervising Psychologist at Massachusetts General Hospital for over a decade and a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School

I am a psychologist who is hoping to help people throughout the lifespan learn their strengths and areas of challenge through neuropsychological testing and assessment. I would like to work with people from mid-elementary age through adulthood who may be struggling with understanding how their unique learning profile affects their academic, peer and vocational activities. I look forward to assessing you, your child or young adult around concerns such as ADHD, learning problems, social and emotional functioning, memory, cognitive functioning and organizational problems. It is my goal to help people in all phases of life understand themselves best.

As your therapist I help you look at the story you have constructed about yourself and identify the beliefs and assumptions that have held you back. Together we gather insights and then develop a course of action to get your life back on track. I have a deep knowledge of how adult ADHD affects every aspect of one's life and every relationship in it. It is hard to feel competent when those around you feel they can't rely on you. Together we design strategies that employ your strengths and talents enabling you to produce the results you want.

I treat adults and seniors using cognitive-behavioral therapy. I also work with couples and family members as appropriate. I have had experience treating patients with anxiety, panic disorder, depression, bipolar disorder, physical and psychological trauma, strokes and brain injury, chronic illnesses, low self-esteem, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder, and executive function issues. I approach psychotherapy from a biological-psychological-social framework. Working within the theoretical framework of cognitive-behavioral therapy, I incorporate multiple strategies and techniques into my therapeutic practice, including mindfulness meditation.

I have a doctorate in clinical psychology, with over 25 years of experience working with a range of life issues, including relational and couple's difficulties, family dynamics, depression, anxiety, and clarification of life goals. I maintain a confidential and respectful approach in the process of facilitating personal growth and creative problem solving. In addition to my degree in clinical psychology, I have also obtained specialized training in Marriage and Couple Counseling, as well as Family Therapy and Parenting Issues.
