You can't understand why with all the therapy you have done, you still don't feel substantially better. Sometimes you think it's analogous to knowing all about the parts of a bike and how it works, but you are still unable to actually ride the bike. You know all about your depression, anxiety or trauma - but you don't feel better. I also am an approved assistant teacher and session provider through Somatic Experiencing International.

(CURRENTLY NOT ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS) I seek clients who are motivated to make positive changes in their lives and are ready to gain insights into their thoughts and behaviors. It's brave work but I'm here to help you with your transformation. Clinical work involves seeing each client's hidden strengths and building on them to tackle current issues such as self-esteem, anxiety and depression, relationship conflicts, recovery from substances, and trauma.

Currently accepting new clients. Sometimes making a change in our lives is more complicated than simply "trying our best." I work with clients to uncover their own strengths, and to regain power over the areas of life that feel overwhelming or out of control. My energy is warm and friendly, and past clients have appreciated the chance to explore difficult content in a non-judgmental environment. I treat individuals with PTSD and other anxiety and depressive disorders. Additionally, I work with adult adoptees and adoptive parents.

Do you feel nervous or anxious? Does your mind feel like a hamster wheel that never stops? If so, you are not alone, and I’m here to help. I specialize in attachment, anxiety, and mood disorders. I find that root causes of these challenges often stem from childhood attachment wounds, or relationally based trauma. Sometimes this looks like emotionally absent or narcissistic parents, or a parent who struggled with their mental health. Since mood disorders can be hereditary, I am careful to differentiate diagnosable mental health conditions from common trauma responses. My goal is to help you find relief and embrace your authenticity.

My focus is in working with clients who live in some way that is outside of a typical societal expectation or norm. My style is rooted in the idea of collective liberation, and my clients are most often fellow queer people, conscientious parents and caregivers, those living with chronic illness, survivors of relational and systemic trauma; those with body types, cultural identities, family or relationship structures that are non-normative.

Have you ever been bothered from dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma histories, and/or relationship and spiritual issues? Do you notice any dysfunctional thinking habits, response patterns, and emotions, or feel spiritually limited? If so, you are not alone. Maybe you would like to change, but have no idea how or what to change. Perhaps you would like to find ways to balance your mental and emotional energies, and become more able to understand and accept yourself while you're learning to make beneficial changes.

Therapy should feel like a place where you can show up as yourself, especially when life feels overwhelming or unclear. I work with adolescents and adults who are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of their direction in life. A lot of my clients are high-functioning on the outside but internally dealing with anxiety, burnout, self-doubt, or feeling disconnected from themselves. Together, we focus on understanding what’s going on, noticing patterns, and figuring out what actually helps you feel more grounded and like yourself again.

Now accepting new clients for both individual sessions and the Monday 6:30 PM Trauma Recovery Group. I work with clients who are ready to begin healing—even if they’re unsure what that looks like, or whether it’s truly possible. Many of the people I support have already figured out how to get through the day, but know they’re not really living. They’re tired of being told to wait, to stabilize more, or to put their trauma work on hold. I specialize in working with LGBTQ+ clients, dissociative disorders, and the intersection of trauma and addiction.

I have been a therapist in various capacities for over 30 years. I have expertise in helping clients with depression, anxiety, stress, relationship issues, addiction, trauma, and self-esteem and identity concerns. Presently, my focus is on incorporating a lifestory model to help my clients develop a holistic perspective on their past and present experiences and to view themselves as the main character in their story. Particularly important is learning to recognize one's role as not only the protagonist, but also as the author of one's story. When this occurs, clients take a more proactive role in their lives.

Feeling stuck? Overwhelmed? Or simply know it’s time for change? Therapy can be a meaningful place to reconnect with yourself, with others, and with the life you want to be living. I work with adults and couples ready to explore their emotional worlds more deeply and heal from the patterns, wounds, and experiences holding them back from fully living and vulnerably loving. In individual therapy, I utilize Emotionally Focused Therapy and EMDR to help you process emotional pain, access your resilience, usefully integrate your past into your present, and cultivate a more secure sense of self. I am a Certified EMDR Therapist.

As a husband and father, I value the deeply personal ways we build family and connection. Whether you are navigating a conventional marriage or a non-conforming, expansive partnership, this online space is a soft landing. Having managed a sudden neurological illness affecting my balance and senses, I know the toll of unexpected health stressors. With 12 years doing emergency psych assessments in the ER, very little overwhelms me. Licensed since 2015—with perspectives shaped by having lived in Ecuador—I help people dismantle loops of anxiety, depression, or autism when life feels derailed.

Clients I’ve worked with longest include those in addiction recovery, couples facing relationship challenges, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and individuals carrying past experiences that still take up space in their minds and lives. We all rely on what we know to find freedom, connection, and well‑being—but sometimes those strategies stop working. I help people discover new ways to connect—with each other and with themselves. Many adults now turn to AI for mental health support, but nothing replaces human connection, experience, and guidance for true healing.
