Much of my time has been spent working with adolescent boys and middle age men who are going through difficult transitions. My goal is to provide solution focused and compassionate treatment. I draw upon my more than twenty years of experience to work with each client, to address those primary issues which brought one into treatment and to join with my clients on their path towards greater functioning and stability.

I believe that building a strong therapeutic alliance, creating a judgment free environment, and that the ability to be empathic are all equally important regarding the therapeutic process. I apply an eclectic mix of individually tailored techniques and strategies in which the aim is to foster people’s increased functioning and optimal potential. Drawing from years of experience working as a clinical therapist, I have gained a comfortable grasp on working with multiple diagnoses as well as modalities including individual, couples, family, and group counseling.

Drawing from 12+ years experience in the mental health and substance abuse field, I currently specialize in clients who struggle with various mental health issues as well as addictions. I am strong with expressive arts, faith based practice, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. I facilitate addictions groups for teens and adults around topics of marijuana, opiates, and those who struggle with addicted loved ones, among other topics.

There are so many challenges facing youth today; drugs, gangs, peer pressure. All of these can lead to depression, anxiety and a lack of complete functioning. I specialize in treating children, adolescents and young adults in coping with the stressors of life.
