Hello and welcome! I have spent years working alongside individuals impacted by complex trauma, depression , anxiety, and issues arising in relationships. We are all human in this world- with our lived experiences, range of emotions, and our best efforts to cope with it all. Sometimes our best attempts to cope can end up holding us back or hurting us in the long run. The good news is that we are amazing and adaptive beings. What was learned as a way to stay safe in the world can be considered and evaluated. In a supportive and trusting environment, we can expand our awareness and make informed choices for ourselves in the present.

Although my primary clinical focus is in the treatment of eating disorders with a sub-specialty in trauma treatment; I also work with many other co-morbid symptoms and diagnoses such as depression /anxiety, negative body image, grief/loss, anger management, and chronic pain or illness.
It takes courage and self awareness to seek support for your stress, and I'm continually honored by the individuals I serve in my practice for their willingness to open up to me. I strive to create a welcoming, non-judgmental environment that can enhance the process of therapeutic change. All people find themselves "stuck" at times, and through empathy and validation I work to create a path towards hope and healing for my clients.

We will remain stuck in the same old patterns of anxiety, depression , fear, anger.
Hello! My name is Erica Bradley. I am a LICSW in the state of Massachusetts. I have been a social worker for about 6 years and have worked in some form of human services for 15 years. After getting a bachelor's degree in public health and going to work in a group home for developmentally disabled adults I realized the need for more social workers. During graduate school I interned in a hospice, which was both incredibly challenging and rewarding. I then interned in an primary care office providing therapy. Following graduation with my MSW I went to work in the male, State-Prison System.

I specialize in working with client's who struggle with anxiety, trauma and depression and also support clients through stress management, life transitions, helping people find their voice, building boundaries with others, and supporting those who may have someone in their life struggling with substance use.
I believe the best therapy takes place when people feel safe, comfortable and at ease in a nonjudgmental, neutral environment. It is here that people can safely process their experiences, thoughts, feelings, and emotions authentically. My therapy style pulls from interconnected approaches such as CBT, client-focused, solution-focused, compassion-focused, strength-based, trauma-informed and mindfulness. My approach is flexible and based on individuals mental health needs and goals. My hope is to help clients feel human, feel seen and heard, and to empower clients in bringing awareness to their strengths.

Depression Therapists
Depressive disorders are characterized by persistent feelings of sadness and worthlessness and a lack of desire to engage in formerly pleasurable activities. Depression is not a passing blue mood, which almost everyone experiences from time to time, but a complex mind/body illness that interferes with everyday functioning. It not only darkens one's outlook, it is commonly marked by sleep problems and changes in energy levels and appetite. It alters the structure and function of nerve cells so that it disrupts the way the brain processes information and interprets experience.

Despite feelings of hopelessness and worthlessness, depression is a treatable condition. It can be treated with psychotherapy. As with many illnesses, the earlier treatment begins, the more effective it can be and the greater the likelihood that recurrence can be prevented.

Psychotherapy addresses the thinking patterns that precipitate depression, and studies show that it prevents recurrence. Drug therapy is often helpful in relieving symptoms, such as severe anxiety, so that people can engage in meaningful psychotherapy.
