You’ve probably spent a lot of time holding it together, managing anxiety, trying to fix relationships, or carrying guilt and shame around sexuality or choices you don’t fully understand. My clients often come to me when life feels complicated: attachment wounds that never healed, emotional distance that keeps relationships stuck, or behaviors that bring regret instead of relief. Some are parents trying to reach a child who feels unreachable; others are adults trying to rebuild trust with themselves or someone they love.

Midday openings are available at this time!
I work with adult clients who want to use expressive arts therapy and therapeutic humor in addition to traditional talk therapy to help overcome the obstacles that are keeping them from living their best life. This approach can benefit those who have experienced trauma, are struggling with depression or anxiety, or would like a new way of coping with ADHD. There is no need to be an artist to reap the many benefits of expressive arts therapy!
Note: Most days, I am accompanied by my bunny, Molly, as we prepare to offer Animal-Assisted Therapy eventually.

Most of us want to be in connection. We want to be known and acknowledged for our strengths and contributions and to be safely understood for our vulnerabilities. How can this happen? Supportive work in therapy brings that knowing awareness into play. We build trust; we listen more. Mutual respect replaces resentments, anger, and the defeat of resignation. There emerges readiness to experience comfort, ease in interactions, and confidence to handle life's situations with increased skill. Intimacy, vibrancy, and laughter naturally find a place again in our experience of each other and in the ups and downs of life.

You're here because you're divorcing a narcissist or navigating a toxic relationship with a family member, ex, or co-parent, and you're at your wit's end. Maybe every time you try to explain what’s happening, you end up sounding like the crazy one..or you're starting to wonder if you’re the one being toxic. All you know is you’re done with this dynamic & ready for real change. The toxic person won’t change, but if you do, you’ll stop being emotionally hijacked and finally feel grounded and in control. I know because I've been in narcissistic relationships, changed how I responded, and stopped the cycle. I can help you do the same.

A licensed psychologist since 1983, I learned early the vast importance of insight into the life experiences and other factors that determine a person's emotional balance. I have worked with a wide range of adults, from those with significant mental illness to those motivated by a desire for self-knowledge, including other mental health professionals. I encourage deep reflection, reading and a wellness-oriented lifestyle. My clients learn to see me as a guide with knowledge of psychodynamics who will encourage and promote their self-development throughout the adult lifecycle.

I specialize in anxiety, depression, parenting, relationships and major life transitions. Many of my clients are "helpers" (therapists, coaches, first responders, teachers, healers) and often parents, partners, caregivers or friends who tend to put others’ needs before their own. They feel exhausted, frustrated and overwhelmed. I see therapy as a “conversation with a purpose”. I provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you will feel heard and seen. You will learn real-life, easy-to-use tools so you can feel more empowered and in control of your thoughts, emotions, and actions.

I bet you’ve built a life that looks fine from the outside: a job, friends, maybe even a relationship. But inside, you feel anxious, overwhelmed, and disconnected. You replay conversations, second-guess yourself, and sometimes feel like something is off. You’ve learned to hide it well, but deep down there is this undercurrent of anxiety or dread.
I work with women and queer/questioning women who feel deeply, carry a lot for others, and often have been told they are “too sensitive” or “overthinking again." If this resonates, you are in the right place.
