*New clients, please use email for fastest reply.* Therapy should begin with establishing a trusting and therapeutic relationship, in a relaxing environment, where clients of all ages will feel comfortable, safe & understood (my dog Taffy is my 'co-therapist'!). Although everyone struggles at times during our lives, most of us still reeling from the past few years alone. I believe ALL people have hidden strengths (yes, you too!) that they can use and build upon, while also learning how their past history may still effect their thoughts, actions, and self esteem. Therapy is about insight, encouragement, support, and progress.
I specialize in children, adolescents, and adult women. I have extensive trauma experience with all types of abuse. Specialties include anxiety, depression, and chronically medically ill children and adults. Grief and loss, divorce, and other adjustment disorders. College students and young adults dealing with transitional issues.
I have training in EMDR (eye movement and desensitization reprocessing). Best form of communication is to email to set up an intake session. Please note I do not do EMDR to clients who are currently in therapy with other clinicians, it's only used as a possible treatment with my regular clients as needed and with both clinician and client commitment
