I offer in person and virtual sessions.
My therapeutic style integrates approaches from several schools of thought. However, I tend to favor the client centered and relational approaches to therapy. I help my patients understand how their past and unconscious experiences shape who they are. This integrative style helps patients to effectively link their past, present, and future. I also value the healing power of relationships, which includes the relationship between patient and therapist. I am committed to a collaborative approach to therapy and I value the input of my patients about what they want out of treatment.

Life is hard no matter what stage you are in. High school has so much pressure, more than previous generations in many ways. Being a teenager has so much more complexity than in the past, which parents really don’t always understand. The transition to college comes with its own challenges which can be overwhelming. Then moving into independent adulthood comes with its own pressures, at whatever age that comes. Next up may be starting a family, either with a partner, by having a child, or both. There is so much more stress when you are responsible for more than just yourself.

I currently offer telehealth with quarterly in person sessions available and occasional healing intensives/deep retreats in the wilderness.
I understand myself in this role as a fellow traveler along the road who has devoted particular time and attention to learning the skills necessary to hold the kind of space that most effectively evokes the healing, release, and the profound wisdom that we all carry within. I work primarily with Internal Family Systems therapy. I believe this to be a particularly appropriate approach for our times as it is inherently a consent-based practice that moves precisely at the pace we are each ready for, and also creates space for touching the burdens we inherited intergenerationally/ancestrally.

I have hours to meet in person on Tuesday late afternoon early evenings.
If you are struggling with feeling stuck in the dark and lost in the past, then I may be able to help. Working together I can guide you to find the light within what feels like darkness. Being open to discuss and explore times of feeling lost, how we became lost and how we can find ourselves again. Utilizing your pre-existing strengths and internal listening to create growth and positive change is where the work begins. From creating this space, I believe that you can create healthy coping skills, improve communication skills/relationships, set appropriate boundaries, decrease levels of depression and anxiety and so much more.
