What often compels people to seek therapy is some form of felt loss. It could be as transparent as an unsatisfying relationship or as subtle as lowered self-esteem. It could be a sense that something is missing and an uncertainty as to what that may be. One of the most important relationships in life is the one we foster with ourselves. And frequently, it is the one most ignored. I strive to help people see and understand themselves more clearly as I believe self awareness is an indispensable bridge to healthy change.

Are you tired of the insanity? With many years of being an ally to those who suffer with substance use and mental health, I have made the decision to use my personal experiences to try and help others. I provide support to adolescents, young adults and adults who may struggle with substance use, codependency concerns or allies of those who struggle with substance use. Those who eventually make their way to see me are usually experiencing a difficult time within their life, which will be met within a judgment free zone with compassion and best clinical practices.

Accepting New CT's and Spanish Speaking! Mental Health and Substance use has a stigma that can cause feelings of shame, guilt and loneliness. I'm a masters level clinician and I've been in the field for 18 years. Substance use happens for many reasons, such as seeking relief from depression, anxiety and other stressors in our lives. We turn to substances to make us feel better or to just numb our feelings. If you've tried to make changes in the past and feel like nothing has worked, maybe you just need some guidance. I can work with you at your pace. If you're reading this, it's time to make the call. Bilingual services available.

Addiction is hard. Recovery is even harder. The message we are given about recovery is that "it gets better after you're sober". The truth is, life can feel more difficult when you're sober than it was when you were drinking or using drugs. As you begin your healing journey, you should be given real information, validation to what you're experiencing and someone to ask you "What do you need?" instead of "This is what you need to do."
