I work with adults (18+) and specialize in Depression, Anxiety, OCD, PTSD, Trauma, Bipolar Disorder, Personality Disorders, ADHD, and those navigating identity, self-discovery.
I am collaborative and human — no robotic therapist nodding. I’m engaged, I ask thoughtful questions, and I’ll give you skills and insight you can actually use outside of sessions. We’ll explore patterns, build coping tools, laugh when it helps, and hold space when it hurts.

I have over a decade of experience working with young adults and professionals navigating anxiety, depression, and stress.
Something shifted, and you can't quite name it. The life you worked so hard to build feels like it no longer fits. Maybe you're navigating perimenopause, an empty nest, or a career change, and you're wondering who you are on the other side of it. I work with women in midlife and young adults searching for clarity and a stronger sense of self. Together, we make sense of what you're feeling, reconnect with your values, and move forward with more intention.

I work most often with folks who live with depression, anxiety, and/or eating disorders; although I have experience working with a wide variety of needs and goals.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, and have held leadership positions across all levels of care in eating disorder treatment. I will utilize multiple evidence based practices to support you, but tend to gravitate most to a DBT approach. I believe laughter is some of the best medicine, and tend to use a lot of humor with my clients.

You may look like you are holding everything together - work, family, relationships - yet feel overwhelmed, anxious, or emotionally exhausted on the inside.
I specialize in working with adults, who are navigating anxiety, chronic stress, burnout, relationship challenges, and major life transitions related to career, motherhood, perimenopause, and empty nesting. My clients appreciate that I’m not just a “sit and nod” therapist. I bring humor, authenticity, and a collaborative approach to our sessions.

Anxiety Therapists
When should I seek treatment for anxiety?
Everyone feels anxious at times, but when anxiety causes disruption to your daily life, it may be time to seek help. Such disruption can be mental, physical, or both: having fear dominate your thoughts, avoiding situations or objects that bring on feelings of anxiety, or experiencing shortness of breath, sweating, dizziness, or panic attacks. When these symptoms are recurrent and distressing, it may be time to talk to someone.

What are the most common types of treatment for anxiety?
Talk therapy, particularly cognitive behavioral therapy, is the most common treatment for anxiety. Studies have shown it is equally effective as medication. Other popular forms of therapy are popular, depending on a patient’s experience. Exposure therapy, for instance, can be useful for people dealing with fears and phobias, or who have experienced traumatic events. Dialectical Behavioral Therapy may be useful for patients who need help with emotion regulation. Anxiolytic medications, like benzodiazepines, can also help with calming a person enough to focus on the skills they’ve learned, and physical exercise has been shown to help symptoms of anxiety across the board.

How long does therapy for anxiety take to work?
The amount of time needed to alleviate symptoms depends on the severity of a person’s condition. Some therapies may take 5-20 weekly sessions to show results. Anti-depressant medications typically take two to four weeks before a benefit is felt. Anti-anxiety medications are felt typically within 20-30 minutes. Medications are best used to offer a patient a better headspace in which to work on techniques learned in therapy. Exercise, improved sleep habits, and meditation are effective, but takes weeks or months to show results.

How effective is treatment for anxiety?
Treatment for anxiety has been shown to be moderately to highly effective, according to a large body of psychology studies and analyses. For some people, treatment using CBT or exposure therapy alone is effective. Others respond best to a combination of medication and therapy.
