The therapy session is a time and space one sets aside to focus on self. To be with self. And to build one’s self. It can be challenging to reflect on patterns, thoughts and emotions, relationships, past events and/or change, but it can also be transformative and rewarding. My role as your therapist is to witness your process and to reflect back with you along the way. The therapeutic relationship is an essential piece of my practice and is built on honesty, trust, empathy, and compassion.

Areas of specialty include men's mental health, substance abuse, trauma, anxiety, depression, major mood disorders, in addition to personality deficits.
While supporting a diverse population of individuals throughout the years, it has become clear that there is a strong need to nurture our mental health. For centuries the medical industry has focused largely on physiological concerns. Within recent years, we have come to pay closer attention to the relationship between our physical and emotional well-being.

I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, life transitions, and those moments when everything feels “too much
I strive to create a warm, calm, and judgment-free space where you can feel safe to share openly and authentically. Outside of therapy, you'll often find me hiking with my golden lab or skiing up north (the dog does not ski unfortunately).

I’m drawn to working with women of color who are in a season of questioning, shifting, and becoming. My ideal client is someone who senses that something in her life is ready to change, even if she’s not sure what that looks like yet. She’s looking for a therapist who feels real, kind, and genuinely there with her. She wants support as she reconnects with herself and creates a life that feels right.

It is never too late to become who you want to be, and its okay if that's not who you wanted to be yesterday. Never settle for anything. Families are the role model for who er become. Loving couples model the way their children view romantic partnerships and the way they believe they should be treated when they become adults and enter into partnerships. Keeping the family healthy is a lot of work and I love providing strategies and new perspective on how to make it the most rewarding accomplishment of your lives.

You are not PTSD, depression, or anxiety.
You’ve been through so much, and trauma has a way of taking over everything. Maybe to cope, you try to keep yourself busy with work, schoolwork, or home tasks so you don't have to think about it all. Most of the time, though, it's all you can think about. It can impact your relationships, too. It can be hard for others who haven't been through similar struggles to truly understand what you're going through. Even for you, finding the right words to explain it all can be difficult. This makes connecting with others a bit more challenging.

Are you tired of the insanity? With many years of being an ally to those who suffer with substance use and mental health, I have made the decision to use my personal experiences to try and help others. I provide support to adolescents, young adults and adults who may struggle with substance use, codependency concerns or allies of those who struggle with substance use. Those who eventually make their way to see me are usually experiencing a difficult time within their life, which will be met within a judgment free zone with compassion and best clinical practices.

Things can get better. It takes a lot of courage to reach out for help but it is the first step in putting yourself and your needs first so thank you for being here! I got into this field as I am drawn to helping others and believe that we as humans are resilient and we can overcome any obstacles with the right support and tools.

I work extensively with clients who have experienced trauma, depression, and anxiety of all ages.
I use a variety of approaches. The flash technique, EMDR, and polyvagal and somatic therapies can be helpful with trauma. For depression and anxiety, I tend to use more symptom management approaches, coping skills, and learning about the connections between thoughts, feelings, and underlying beliefs. Over time, these can lead to real change.
