It's okay if you need healing and a way forward and have no idea of where to start. Maybe you’ve tried individual or couples therapy but it’s been more harmful than helpful because your therapist didn’t understand emotional abuse and toxic relationship dynamics. Applying tools intended for two healthy people doesn’t work when there’s a Narcissist and/or abuse present in the relationship. Working with someone who understands patterns of abuse can help you make the right decision for yourself. I am trained in Narcissistic Abuse and High Conflict Divorce Coaching . - I also work with Millennial Women on life transitions (website below)

It is often said that life coaching closes the gap between where you are and where you want to be. Coaching is a unique relationship that addresses areas that are no longer satisfying: your career, your thoughts about yourself, your social life , health, and self confidence. What if you knew exactly what beliefs and habits you needed to create an extraordinary life ? We'll work together to identify areas you want to change, so you learn how to challenge what is holding you back and to create plans to transition to that life .

Chances are therapy will help you learn tools to understand more deeply what you are trying to communicate about your emotional lives. We are all in relationships emotionally, whether at work, or school, or in your personal life . The communication in these relationships may break down. Here, you will learn tools for identifying the reasons why, and learn what can be done to improve the situation. Improvement will include deeper understanding and clearer communication with others.

I extend my work to business, organizational & corporate clients, leadership& team coaching ; as well as work with executive clients who prefer to engage me privately, including for career transitions.
In my experience, each person is driven by a deep longing for something better: to get along better with family, coworkers or friends; to sharpen & hone their personal effectiveness, creativity or success; to act & live more meaningfully; to have relief from worries, anger or sadness; to be seen & appreciated as they are rather than what they are expected to be. Helping people tangibly grow closer to fulfilling their aspiration is my work. My approach & background combine psychodynamic/attachment lens to understand the deepest & often, unconscious motivations that drive people (I am a psychoanalyst); somatic awareness & embodied

Life Coaching or Counseling with me often focuses on progress in school, employment, legal or financial difficulties, substance abuse, and family dynamics.
Sometimes you need a bit more support from an outside source to see issues through a new lens. I am here to help you do that. We can start by saying that anxiety, substance use, depression, rumination, and approval seeking, are all normal human challenges. Many of these problems surface in early adulthood which is why I specialize in helping people launch into adulthood with better coping skills.

Coaching is a bit different than therapy or counseling.
We’ve all been in a place where we want more and to do better - to truly be the absolute best we can be - but we're TIRED. We seek out guidance from books, podcasts, Instagram personalities, and friends or family. The problem is, just like us, our challenges and development in our personal and professional lives are unique and the guidance we get from those sources is often too generic to get us to act. Everyone who knows and has worked with me says I’m ‘scary’ good at getting to the bottom of what’s really going on and then helping find just the right way forward so you can be successful.

Life Coaching Therapists

What can I expect from life coaching?

Clients and coaches will typically start by identifying the problem area(s) that the client hopes to address—then, the coach will help the client brainstorm potential solutions and explore concrete techniques to help the client attain their goals. Coaching is typically short-term and focused on finding solutions in the here and now, rather than exploring a client’s past. In addition to strategies aimed at the client’s specific concerns, coaches may encourage general stress management techniques such as meditation.

Can a life coach help treat anxiety?

Because the majority of life coaches are not licensed clinicians, they are not qualified to diagnose or treat anxiety. Anyone struggling with anxiety or another mental health condition should seek help from a licensed mental health practitioner. However, some coaching clients who struggle with subclinical anxiety report that working with their coach on other problems—such as career dissatisfaction or unhealthy habits—has a positive effect on their anxiety.

Can life coaching be done online?

Yes. While life coaching often happens in person, many coaches conduct sessions over the phone or via online platforms such as Zoom or Skype. Because life coaches are not subject to local licensing regulations in the same way that therapists are, they are able to see clients who live in other locations.

How long does life coaching last?

Life coaching tends to be a shorter-term process than therapy, though it does not always unfold over a specific period of time and is instead based on the coach’s or the client’s preferences. Coaching often takes place over three to 12 months but may be shorter or longer if necessary.
