While I always tailor my approach to the needs of each client, I primarily work with so-called mindfulness-based models of therapy such as Internal Family Systems ("Parts") Therapy, Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Therapy ( AEDP).
Do you feel stuck in anxiety, depression, or the grip of a harsh inner critic?
Maybe you’ve tried counseling, read self-help books, or practiced mindfulness, yet the same struggles remain. Perhaps your work feels unfulfilling, or despite your efforts, intimacy and connection feel just out of reach.

My approach integrates somatic mindfulness, AEDP, and Internal Family Systems.
You may be doing well on the outside, yet feel stuck, disconnected, or unable to create the kind of relationships and life you actually want. Many of the people I work with are high-functioning and self-aware, yet struggle with feelings of inadequacy, unsatisfying relationships, or a lack of meaning and direction. If you’ve tried therapy before and found it helpful but not transformative, you’re not alone.

My therapy approach includes somatic interventions, like Brainspotting and AEDP, which allow for a deeper connection with your mind and body to bring on profound and lasting change.
A painful childhood, challenging relationships, loss or another distressing experience has left you feeling hopeless. Emotions like anxiety, sadness and shame are so overwhelming that it feels like your body is shattering from all of your feelings. You've never been able to explain what feeling abandoned is like, or why it's so hard to trust, so you feel more isolated in being misunderstood. You have some regrets on how you've responded or acted in the past while you were just trying to survive or feel connection.

I am a trauma-informed Level 2 IFS therapist with additional training in Somatic Experiencing, STAIR, and AEDP.
You work hard to keep it all together on the outside, so people often don't know when you feel shaky and exhausted inside. It's true you've achieved a lot in your life—but that doesn't stop you from feeling you don't belong, aren't enough. It may feel like anxiety, low self-esteem, and trauma have been with you forever. One thing is sure: you want a life that feels better than this. Together, we'll help you find and heal what's getting in the way so you can enjoy your success—and let your whole messy, complicated, beautiful self be known and loved in close, lasting relationships. I love this work and I'd be honored to help.

I offer psychoanalytic psychotherapy - a warm and supportive approach that accompanies people through a deeper exploration of unconscious thinking, including dreams and long-held relational patterns that are outside of one's awareness. Often people are stuck repeating something or attracting the same experiences again and again. The psychoanalytic process is carefully designed to help you move through these stuck points and work deeply with complex aspects of the self so you can emerge to more genuinely appreciate your life. Through it, you should notice significant changes in how you understand yourself.

Who is AEDP therapy for?
Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) is for adults who have experienced emotional pain in the past that, because it has not been adequately addressed and processed, interferes with current functioning. The problems might manifest in a number of different ways, from excessive anger to relationship difficulties to PTSD to eating disorders, poor self-esteem, and depression. They may also be accompanied by physiological symptoms. AEDP helps people accept and digest challenging emotional experiences.
Why do people need AEDP?
People need AEDP as a way to manage distressing emotions—including anger, shame, and guilt—that in some way hamper the ability to function and form satisfying relationships in the present. The therapist-client relationship is believed to provide corrective emotional and relational experiences that facilitate positive changes in brain function, forge pathways for processing traumatic experiences, and allow resolution of emotional pain.
What happens in AEDP therapy?
Once individuals have established a strong bond with the AEDP therapist and the therapist has established a safe and secure environment, clients are encouraged to explore their most painful emotional experiences. They may be asked to pay attention to disquieting body sensations as well as to psychological discomfort. Individuals learn how to process emotions, rather than avoid them. Through the strength of the therapist-client bond, each session is intended to provide a powerful positive experience for individuals, enabling growth.
What problems does AEDP treat?
AEDP is intended to treat the unprocessed emotional pain caused by earlier distressing experiences, which commonly includes behavioral avoidance of current situations and experiences for fear that they will reactivate painful feelings. Emotional pain and avoidant behavior play a role in a wide array of mental health conditions, which is why AEDP is applied to the treatment of a range of disorders including depression, anxiety, PTSD, relationship difficulties, and eating disorders.
