The hardest step to take can be simply acknowledging when things have become a bit overwhelming or difficult to manage on your own. Many people benefit tremendously from psychotherapeutic treatment. If you or someone you know is having problems with depression, anxiety, self-esteem, interpersonal relationships, work-life balance, a history of trauma or abuse, grief/loss of a loved one, religious or spiritual concerns, or other emotional or behavioral issues, you may find therapy helpful. My goal is to form a collaborative relationship with you that focuses on your needs, and restores meaningfulness and purpose back into your life.

Living a balanced, meaningful life is the most worthwhile endeavor in this age of change and challenge. Loving connections, a grounded sense of self-esteem and mindful self-care can be hard to achieve and maintain, yet success in these areas can change the way we experience and negotiate our world. Good therapy creates a clearer understanding of the obstacles and how to overcome them to create the life we want. My approach is warm, intellectually curious and collaborative, always keeping goals in mind and explaining the process along the way.

Something isn’t working. Life isn’t what it used to be. Do you ever ask: “Is this what it comes down to?” Do you worry it’s too late to change, that mistakes and hurts cannot be undone? Worst are the times you feel your best option is to settle for the short-lived comforts of familiar ways, because cold comfort feels better than no comfort. I treat many individuals and couples who worked hard to achieve a picture of success but struggle privately with relationship issues, trauma and PTSD, self-esteem, anxiety, and unresolved past issues. Some have tried therapy or self-help, but it wasn’t personalized enough or the right approach.

I often hear from my clients, “I wish I had started therapy sooner!” That doesn’t have to be you. Is therapy hard at times? Absolutely! It’s also an extremely rewarding personal growth opportunity that many define as “Life-Changing.” For over a decade, I’ve helped clients thrive personally & professionally as they learn to heal/manage: 1) Mental Health 2) Self-Confidence 3) Imposter Syndrome and 4) Relationships. Through experience gained in the US & abroad, I’ve developed a therapeutic style described as empowering, collaborative & interactive. I truly believe each client is HUMAN & not their symptoms, life stressors, or illness.

I believe that it takes strength and courage to seek therapy. I provide a safe, non-judgmental space to explore attitudes and beliefs /patterns which get in the way of accomplishing your full potential and engaging fully in of life. I utilize a more holistic, mind-body approach to treatment, weaving together techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, IFS, mindfulness/acceptance and yoga therapy to connect you with your "true, inner self", something which we often lose touch with as we go about our lives in this often fast-paced, unpredictable and stressful world. Self Esteem Therapists
Self-esteem lives on a spectrum: Not enough self-regard (or low self esteem) can lead people to become depressed, or to tolerate abusive situations and relationships. Too much self-love (or high self-esteem), results in an off-putting sense of entitlement and an inability to learn from failure. And it's occasionally a sign of clinical narcissism. Quite the opposite of being shy or shyness, yet still on the same spectrum.
