Welcome! I work with young adults, adults, and couples who are navigating anxiety, depression, panic, trauma, identity questions, life changes, chronic pain/illness, or relationship stress - basically, anyone feeling overwhelmed by life who could use a teammate! My approach is warm, collaborative, and compassion-focused. I believe that just as athletes train their bodies, we can strengthen our minds with intention and kindness. Together, we can work to honor your lived experience, explore your goals, and move at a pace that feels right for you, creating space for growth and meaningful change.

You’ve been working hard to keep up with life’s demands, but something still feels off. Maybe your energy feels drained, your focus is scattered, or your body is sending signals your mind hasn’t fully caught up with yet. You want to better understand yourself—how your physical rhythms, environment, and emotional well-being all influence one another. You’re ready to explore new ways of moving through challenges so you can approach life with clarity, strength, and a renewed sense of possibility. You want to feel stronger, calmer, and more capable of handling whatever life throws your way, while honoring the whole person you are.

My work is centered around helping folks live a life with meaning, joy, and purpose by working together to address what may be getting in the way. As a clinical social worker, my work is rooted in helping my clients address barriers at the individual, familial, and systemic level. Before training as a therapist, I worked in community health settings in women’s sexual & reproductive health, giving me important insight into medical-related stresses and challenges. I work with people experiencing anxiety, OCD, depression, grief, relational trauma, and body image issues. I also work with families navigating older adult-specific issues.

Accepting In-Person Referrals: Many of the people I work with are adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, or intense emotional experiences that feel hard to manage alone. Often they’re insightful and motivated, yet still feel stuck in patterns that affect their mood, relationships, or sense of control. They’re looking for more than validation and want a clear, skill-based approach that makes sense of what’s happening and leads to meaningful change. The goal is not just short-term relief, but emotional steadiness, healthier relationships, and practical strategies that hold up and can be practiced outside the therapy room.

Life is difficult at times. Creating change within oneself that is lasting and meaningful sometimes requires a little assistance. I provide evidence based psychotherapy that helps to restore the balance lost in everyday relationships. I specialize in grief and loss issues, resolving trauma, and navigating through life's transitions. Psychotherapy is always collaborative and client centered. Although life can be challenging at times, there are ways to renew purpose, reconnect, and re-establish a sense of trust. As such, my primary goal as an independent psychologist is to assist clients in achieving their very best life.

We may have the impression that the experience of time is too short to grasp and adjust to the continuous flow of changes and losses occurring in life. When reporting our life stories, the task of maintaining their cohesion is often far from easy, appeasing and satisfactory. It is my belief that therapy can offer us the opportunity to revisit, expand or add new perspectives to the life story that will support our journey towards more successful identities, relationships and endeavors.

FAQ - Teenage and Adolescent Therapists
What does therapy for teenagers look like?
When a therapist works with a teenager, the pair will talk about what the teen is struggling with and explore solutions, which may involve interpersonal skills, coping strategies, medication, or lifestyle changes related to sleep, diet, and exercise. Different therapists employ different modalities, but most involve a combination of conversation and skill building.

How long does therapy for teenagers generally take to work?
There’s variability in teenagers’ experiences and challenges; some may begin to improve from therapy within a few weeks while others may take several months or longer. Teens can discuss their progress with their therapist periodically to assess how they’re improving and any changes to the treatment plan that could potentially accelerate that progress.

How do you encourage a teenager to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love while framing therapy as an opportunity to explore a tool that could help improve their life; just like they practice baseball or dance, now they can practice their emotional skills. Give your teen control over the process where you can—maybe by weighing in on choice of therapist and signaling that therapy involves confidentiality, so a parent need not know all that is discussed in sessions.

How do you prepare teens for therapy?
You can prepare your teenager for therapy by describing what the process will look like and setting expectations for timeline, if requested. You can explain that the first session may begin with an assessment phase, that they can describe their experiences but that the therapist will ask questions too, and that it may take time to feel comfortable opening up. Ask how they’re feeling about the process and answer any questions calmly and supportively.
