How can I help? I’m excited to work with motivated Clients moving towards their own unique goals-whether that is dealing with the stress of everyday life, coping with overwhelming emotions, healing past traumas, building self-esteem and communication skills, and fostering safe relationships. I teach and practice strategies proven to reduce distress and increase healthy functioning - using mindfulness, play, and person centered methods (among others) in our work together. I have advanced training in trauma, anxiety, depression, and ADHD, I have a laid-back working style, offer non-judgmental active listening, and am 'just human'.
I have 17 years experience in the mental health field, working directly with families, couples, children, adolescents, and adults. I have worked in community mental health, in-home services, residential treatment facilities, school-based mental health and outpatient services. I am currently full-time solo private practice and love it!
My practice, Elizabeth Counseling PLLC:, is grounded in a holistic approach to aide in meeting each person's individual needs.
