About
Hi! My name is Lyssia and I am an EMDR trained AMFT & APCC therapist offering telehealth based therapy across California for teens and adults. I provide services under the supervision of Mary Vice, LMFT 110258. I have extensive experience and training working at Kaiser Permanente, schools, and counseling centers. I work with teens (13+), college aged & young adults, and adults. I believe each person holds the resources within them to adapt, grow, and move towards healing, but that when partnering with an experienced, comfortable, and compassionate professional we can move further, deeper, and quicker.
My approach to therapy is warm, non-judgemental and collaborative. I aim to support each individual striving to make positive changes in their lives and move through difficult times and to navigate life changes and relationships. I utilize an integrated approach to tailor therapy to each person, leaning on EMDR, CBT, DBT, ACT, and person-centered techniques.
Whether you are looking for solution focused, short term therapy to manage more acute concerns or more extensive therapy for complex problems or symptoms, we will work together to find your path towards growth and healing. Meet me at the kitchen table with a cup of tea, coffee, and a snack and let's get started. Find out more at lyssiaportertherapy.com.
