My name is Lyssia and I am an EMDR & Brainspotting therapist offering therapy across California for individuals age 13+ and couples. I bring experience from working with military, medical settings, and school based programs as well as more intensive depth work, attachment theory, and humanistic leanings to my clients. My hope is to create a space where you can be your authentic self, feel heard, understood and supported however you're showing up. Whether you are going through relationship challenges or changes or dealing with anxiety, trauma, depression, or other concerns, I am here to support you.
I utilize an integrated approach to tailoring to each person, using an attachment focus and leaning on EMDR, Brainspotting, Psychodynamic/Insight Oriented, CBT & ACT. I lean heavily on humanistic lenses, focusing on insight and depth work, but with extensive training in brief modalities, I can support more direct and acute concerns as well.
I look at the whole person by creating a collaborative relationship where we work together to uncover the root causes of your suffering. I believe in hope, strength, and resiliency and I hold that for my clients. My goal is to embody a warmth and curiosity with my clients that creates a space of safety and openness without shame, guilt, or fear.
