I have been fortunate to have had passions that have guided my life. I also have a wide variety of life experiences. Both of these things serve me well to guide me in my practice of helping people. Life events and this desire led me to become certified in Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) in 2009. During my Masters program I expanded the concepts I began in EAP to working with other animals (currently dogs, cats, chickens). I work with heart and my wonderful therapy animals to help others with their own life journeys, as they clarify where they are stuck and find healthy ways to live and thrive in the life they envision.
I have always loved animals and am especially passionate about horses so it seemed only natural to blend my passions and experience with my natural desire to help others in my work. It is through the graciousness of these beautiful animals that we can gain much self awareness about being in relationship and connection with others.
With their incredible emotional intelligence, my therapy animals provide a safe, comforting, experiential way to explore difficult feelings/emotions, finding ways to grow and heal. With the help and presence of my herd of horses and therapy dog, it is my sincere hope that in my work with clients, I can be a grounding part of your personal growth journey.
