My name is Lynne Klaus, and I am a therapist licensed to practice in Colorado, Utah and South Carolina. My approach to therapy is client centered, strengths based, and solution focused. I pride myself in my ability to empathize, listen and relate in an open-minded manner. I utilize an eclectic approach to providing therapy and approaches that I commonly use are Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy. I specialize in the treatment of anxiety; mood disorders and substance use problems. I also see clients in the midst of life-chapter changes such as recovering after loss and divorce.
I have been told that I am warm, open and non-judgmental. My approach is gentle, but I am also capable of having those "tough" conversations. Being a therapist is my second career. Born and raised in Colorado, I spent the first 12 years of my professional life working as a paralegal and federal prison volunteer in the Northern California Bay Area
Following the untimely death of my mother in 1985, I decided to shift my focus from law to helping others. I returned to school and obtained my master’s degree in social work from the University of Denver in 2000.
